3 Idiots - Not at ALL ...
After a gap of nearly 6 months, I finally made it to the theatre for a movie. A bunch of 10 idiots (read it as my college gang) had finally got some free time from the hectic work life and we were in the theatre well before the scheduled show time (as against our normal routine of missing a good 10-15 minutes) for 3 IDIOTS. And we were in for a pleasant surprise. The movie was a complete rewind of those wonderful days we had spent in college. Miss those days ...
The messages (there are quite a few) conveyed through the movie hit the nail right in the head. Not that the movie is a complete gyan pravachan (inspired by the dialogue "mootra visarjan"). It is fully loaded with fun, satire, wit (the list goes on)... Don't miss the movie. A very sensible movie in hindi after a long long time (probably after RDB).
I had read in some websites that the movie is based on Chetan Bhagat's "Five Point Someone". I haven't read the book (as I don't have the good habit of reading). But if the movie could be so engrossing, I guess the book should be more enthraling. So I am off to the bookstore to get myself a copy of the book.
Happy viewing for you ... Happy reading for me ... and Happy Holidays.
