Inspired by Swades?
Everyone must have seen the hit movie SWADES. For those who haven't seen the movie, here's a brief of what happens in the movie:
The second half of the film, which is concerned with the villagers setting up a generator, driven by the waterfall behind their village, with the help of the NASA space engineer, Mohan, to generate electricity for their neglected village, is heartwarming. It adds not only excitement, but also intellectual stimulation in the form of informative village debates on intractable issues facing rural Indian society today (especially the aspect of government disregard for development of rural infrastructure).
I read an article about how a village in Orissa is generating power on its own for use by the villagers. I was amazed to see the coincidence (if I can say so) between the movie and what has actually happened in Orissa. Is this a case of REEL inspired by REAL or REAL inspired by REEL.
